I was on my way home from work approx. 7:00 AM .I work the nite shift at a State Prison in NJ. I had never had any symptoms at all, no pain, no fatigue, no shortness of breath, nothing. The next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital emergency room.Apparently my heart stopped while driving home, causing me to lose control and crash into a tree totaling my car. When police arrived I had no pulse and was not breathing, they zapped me twice and brought me back I had a catherization and a stent put in and also a defib. implanted.that was back in March of this year. Dr said Coronary artery disease prescribed several medications & cardiac rehab program. I still feel fine,I have no symptoms. I cannot beleive this happened to me but It just was not my time.By the way I'm 74 years old but in my mind I'm still 35

tom.. sorry that all of that happened to you. i would assume the only "sympton" you had was must be stressful working in a prison!! and stress takes a toll on your body..especially the heart.
glad you came thru it all including the accident.
do the rehab, take your meds and keep seeing your cardiologist!!!
