Personality Change

by Kristina
(New Britain, CT)

My mother in-law needed 5 bypasses 3 years ago due to a very bad case of atherosclerosis due to many years of a diet rich in saturated fat. Her personality has totally changed. She is angry all the time and hates everybody. My husband and I were going to go over and help my father in-law with some yard work. My mother in-law has decided she hates me, but can't tell you why. When she heard I was coming over, she said she would have my husband and I arrested if I showed up. Needless to say, I didn't go. My father in-law just says she's sick, but he won't consider that her behavior just isn't normal. Could this be alzheimer's or is the heart surgery the cause?
