Long-time Low Carber

by Caitlin
(Tennessee)

Glad to see this page on your site. When I first linked to it, I was thinking..oh no, she's stuck with that low-fat, anti-saturated fat thinking. I don't think we have all the answers yet, but it seems there is more and more evidence that we've been led down the wrong path the last few decades as Gary Taubes, etc. has said. I've been doing low-carb for a few years now at 47 and am lean and have good cholesterol numbers - a HDL of 81 and a TC around 220 (which is probably high to the docs if you buy into the lipid hypothesis). But I'll trust my body. Good for you. Here's to continued health.
