''ENJOY LIFE AFTER CABG''

by GAURAV SAWHNEY
(NEW-DELHI,INDIA)

My father had an angina pain iin 1994. We took him to the hospital immediately. There he was hospitalised for four days. Then after a week he went through tests like "TMT, Echo, Engiography". After that he a CABG in January 1995 at the National Heart Institute of New Dehli, India, under the unit of Dr. O.P. Yadav.

My father's age was 48 at the time of the surgery with no complications of blood PR, diabetes. He had a pure non-veg diet and liquor daily, but after CABG he controlled all things and quit smoking. He recovered almost in 30 days with a very strong will power to recover as soon as possible.

Now, 15 years after surgery he is OK. Main thing behind it was, as I think, "not even a single tablet was missed in 15 years". Now he has slight diabetes and minor blood PR but he is very keen in taking medicines on time.

Our diet is now changed with non-veg with liquor once in a week. He is enjoying life with work outs for for 7 - 8 hours a day. Now I have decided to have a complete heart check up of him including engiography to avoid bad time complications. It's my humble request to the readers that not to worry for CABG. If you have will power and punctuality with medicine schedule you can feel it as a minor road slip injury.
