Atkins Diet

by Curtis Simpson
(Nashville, TN )

I have done the Atkins diet twice in order to lose a few pounds. The first time I did it I wanted to lose about 10 lbs and also lower my cholesterol which had been borderline high.

So I ate a lot of meat and cheese, proteins and fat. I can do that because I like to eat that food. I eliminated most of the daily carbs (maybe 30-50 grams per day)

I lost the weight fairly quickly and 6 months later I had my cholesterol checked and it went way down. It was just like Dr. Atkins had described it.

But it's so scary to think about eating all of that stuff.
